Deep in the Russian industrial music underground, digital hardcore project CLONING EXPERIMENT FAILURE ravaged the early 2000's with an extremely twisted and eye-widening style of noise soaked, ferocious electronic sonic attacks. In 2008, DTRASH RECORDS approached the now defunct project about a release, of the highlights of C.E.F's musicks, culminating in the self titled "Cloning Experiment Failure" DTRASH111 CD. D-TRASH operates for the very reason of sharing some of the great material that we've come across with our audience - and CLONING EXPERIMENT FAILURE are a perfect example of the sounds and energy that we embrace, and we're happy to release this to many who may have not heard of this project the first time around. C.E.F., albeit the opposite of musical 'accessibility' /marketability/etc contain a indescribably noisy!!! and fiery spirit that we cannot get enough of, and is what distinguishes them from the hoardes of other similar projects. The self titled disc takes from separate releases on Russian ZHELEZOBETON Records, which are each described in full by the the label below:
"C.E.F. was created in 1999 in Pskov, Russia. Their first records combined cliches of metal and breakbeat styles in absolutely perverted and impetuous version. Evolution of the band processed on the way of noise domination, and concentration of sounds per second dramatically increased with every new recording. Peculiarities of band's style are emotional screaming vocals and fragmented structure of compositions. We can notice some resemblance with DELPHIUM, ATARI TEENAGE RIOT and even with some early Ant-Zen releases."
"THOUSAND NOISES" - their last recording by nowadays - represents the distillation of band's energy. Very rhythmical, with cracklings of overloaded apparatus, feedbacks and sampled guitars, it splashes out all the hidden fury of Pskov's duet. Undoubtedly, this is not a kind of music for masses. The album is released as limited edition of 115 hand-numbered CDR-copies in cardboard sleeve with technological film inset (every frame is unique). The album is completed with two bonus-tracks of remixed songs from the first demos.

"SOLVENT ABUSE CAN KILL INSTANTLY" / "WAIT FOR A 95" / "LAST SESSION" : This release contains two first demos of a duet coming from Pskov, Russia, plus the recording of the last rehearsal session made two weeks before the death of one of the band's members. The first demo was recorded in 1999-2000 and shows band's infatuation for the products of British label Digital Hardcore Recordings: superdrive combination of fast breakbeats, clear-cut guitar riffs and agressive vocals. The nearest reference point of C.E.F.'s sound of that period may be the music of Atari Teenage Riot raised to the second power.
The second demo (2000-2001) demonstrates evolution of the band in their own direction: composition structures have become more ragged, rhythms have twisted, a fair amount of noise has been added and music have become more chaotic on the whole. One insane interpretation of the song "Sane" by gothic doom metal band Paradise Lost is worth listening!
The third disk contains home recording of band's last rehearsal held on September 5, 2003. Here C.E.F. reached the top of brutal noise sound within the limits of guitar music, all compositions are performed in immensely harsh and dynamic way. There are mostly pieces from previous demos but also three new tracks that have never been recorded in studio. Small blocks of songs are divided by sharp short noise interludes. Turn up the volume and say goodbye to your sanity!
